Download: sim-im-os2-0.9.4.3-r2.zip (7.2 MB)
Changes since previous release:
- Updated Qt library which includes DBCS support and styles support.
- Ported and included AutoAway plugin.
Notes:
- Styles plugin provides style switching now. But Warp 4 style doesn't work, SIM will crash on it.
- SYSGLIT.DLL provides WinGetLastInputTime() function for AutoAway plugin. You may copy this dll into \OS2\DLL directory.
- This release requires GCC 0.6.3 runtime library: libc-0_6_3-csd3.exe or libc-0_6_3-csd3.wpi.
See SIM under OS/2 screenshots in previous announce.

Thank you for the update. It works fine in Japanese.
Thank you for the update... I use SIM-IM/2 almost daily.
Thanks for another great port and all your hard work!!!

How does the Warp theme crash? So far it is working fine here.
abwillis,
strange, It crash for me... I'l check again.
Hi Eugene,
is there any problem with http://www.eros2.info/ ? I'm not able to access it to download new version of SIM!
Bye and thanks for the update, also if I'm not able to download it :-)
Gabriele, right now my site is working ok! If you still have problem - please mail me. (You may found my email here).
Hey Eros, I am having some interesting issues with SIM. I do not have it crash when I use the styles (even the Warp4 one), however, I can not send messages. I can receive them though :\
Has the bug where SIM ruins buddy lists been fixed if you have multiple accounts?
Also, does file-transfer work?
Brett, I do not have problem with sending messages (I use ICQ in SIM), and I can't fix it, as I not dig into SIM's internals. Maybe this bug is your issue.
I don't fix SIM bugs, sorry.
About issues with buddy-list and filetransfer you may read here.
Ah, okay. Thanks though Eros. Maybe if SIM gets another build with updated Oscar plug-in I can finally use it again :\
Hi Eugene, thank you very much for the SIM port. Finally an IM client for OS/2 that supports metacontacts!
I have a problem though: in SIM under Linux you can aggregate contacts into a metacontact by using drag'n'drop. Under OS/2 it doesn't work. If you try to drag a contact onto another contact you always get a "forbidden" sign. I tried left-dragging and right-dragging... both fail. Unfortunately there's no other way of aggregating contacts (though sometimes it understand which contacts to aggregate by itself), so this is a showstopper for me. Could you please look into it?
Thank you!
SIM seems to no longer work with Yahoo since April 1st. I finally found documentation that Yahoo stopped working with older yahoo clients at that time (5.x and older that I could see). I can't tell that SIM has fixed this in their code, anyone else able to tell?
